Duduzile has been working in the B-BBEE industry for over 5 years. She has experience in B-BBEE consulting, verification and has worked as an in-house transformation specialist. She has worked with big multinational and local entities in various sectors both in consulting and verification. Her finance background and qualification add value to how she looks at B-BBEE. She has a passion for knowledge transfer.
As many of you will be aware, the new B-BBEE Codes place far more emphasis on the Ownership Element than the old B-BBEE Codes do.
Without any Black shareholding the most a company can achieve under the new B-BBEE Codes is a level 5 and that is if you claim virtually every other point available.
For majority of companies this is impractical as it requires significant spend and a huge amount of effort. As a result more companies are turning to the ownership element for a more effective way to score BEE points.
