Lynne is an accomplished BEE Consultant with over 6 years in the BEE Audit environment and 4 years as a Senior Analyst and B-BBEE Technical Consultant. Lynne now holds the position of BEE Training Manager as well as BEESA’s own internal Learning and Development Manager.

Skills Development has been identified as a Priority Element under the New B-BBEE Codes of Good practice.

This, along with increased spend and the new EAP (Economically Active Population) targets, requires a business to place a lot more focus on Skills Development to achieve at least the sub-minimum requirement for each category in the element.

Failure to reach the new sub-minimum will result in an automatic drop in one BEE Level irrespective of overall scoring.

Join us in this workshop to obtain an in-depth understanding of all the changes relating to the Skills Development Element along with ways to maximise your score under the New B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.

The Skills Development theoretical understanding includes:

• An In-depth understanding of the Skills Development Element in the Amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.

• Basic understanding of the Priority Elements and the impact of the Discounting Principle.

• What constitute as Skills Development Expenditure

• In-depth understanding of the Skills Development Learning Programme Matrix (category A to G programmes) including practical examples.

• Basic understanding to calculate the points per measurement criteria in the Skills Development Scorecard.

• Impact of the Economic Active Population (EAP) target

• 15% limitation of Skills Development Expenditure on category F&G programmes and related training cost.

• Understanding to optimise the Skills Development Expenditure by means of enhance recognition of claims on the Skills Development Scorecard.

• Identify the interpretational issues in the B-BBEE industry.

• Required documentation to support each Skills Development claim.

• Learning Material Pack which consist of the basic principles of the Amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, general explanation and basic calculations.
